I created this blog to share positive, upbeat information. I only write reviews for books I love and feel good about recommending. I also enjoy sharing my writing/publishing learning experiences with other writers. I'd love to hear from you. Please use the comments link on each blog post to share your own views and experiences. The general schedule is reviews on Monday, writing tips on Wednesday, pot luck on Friday.

I won't be in Illinois anytime soon, but I sincerely hope I get to meet you and Mark some day. Best wishes with your book event.
I won't be in Illinois until February for the Love is Murder mystery conference - I hope you and Mark can make that one too.
Lj,
Thanks LJ. We hope to eventually meet you as well. In April, I'll be at the Texas Library Assoc. convention in Houston. Mark won't be able to attend. Don't suppose you'll be in Houston then?
Austin,
February in Illinois, huh? Not in the current plans, but Love Is Murder sounds interesting.

I hope you had a great book signing!
Thanks Jean - we did! The weather was horrible, we had to practically ice skate across the parking lot to reach the store, and fully expected the store to be closed when we arrived. However, people from Illinois are made of sturdy stuff and didn't seem to notice the ice storm. The store remained busy. We met many interesting readers - among them, a young man who plays piano in a rock band (and wears a scarf that looks like piano keys), a young lady who was shopping for mystery books for her aunt, and a very kind lady who was not shopping for mysteries but stopped to talk to us anyway.
Pages for All Ages is a GREAT store. The management, staff and customers are all wonderful and friendly. I highly recommend all authors check out this place as a potential site for book signings.
