Last Day for Writing Challenge

Back on September 2nd (before Ike), I told you about a great fundraising program from the Cystic Fibrosis organization.

Mid-month, I checked back in with Houston's own Pauline Baird Jones who took up the writing challenge. It seems Ike knocked the snot out of her writing efforts for a few days, but she planned to get caught up.

Did Pauline make her goal in spite of Ike? Check it out here.

I made it! 15,100! I had to open a vein, but I did it!

It's interesting what stress does and how it affects people differently. Some of my friends found hunkering down released their creativity, but others found it hard to concentrate.

Unfortunately, I was in the "couldn't concentrate" group. But I was determined to make my goal. (I'd planned to exceed it and was on my way. I wrote almost 8,000 wds the first week! Oh well, live and learn. At least I WROTE.)
thanks for the support of this worthy cause! And for your encouragement. I didn't raise the most money, but I did make my target goal there, too.
perilously yours,
Pauline
