I just learned of a great new site - http://www.unleashyourstory.com .
The site is an e-version of the telethon. The goal is to raise funding for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through a combined A combined read-a-thon and write-a-thon that challenges readers, writers and published authors to unleash their stories and make a difference.
Readers and Writers set goals (# pages or # of words) and ask for pledges from friends, family members, co-workers, neighbors. This sounds like a great opportunity for both writers and students. You can work alone or in teams. What do you think? Can you write 15,000 words this month? How many pages can your kids read? Sounds like great fun to me.
