6-Month Moonwalk Challenge 2011

I’ve volunteered to raise money as part of what is called, the 6-Month Moon Walk Challenge. I am a member of a team of work colleagues committed to walking 3 miles a day for the next 6 months. When complete, my team will have walked approximately 6,800 miles or the circumference of the moon. There are 4 other Logica teams taking up the same challenge for 4 different charities. My team is walking for the Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis which is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the cure of MS by facilitating research that determines the causes of MS. I hope that you’ll help by donating any sum of money to this worthy cause.

Multiple Sclerosis, or MS, is a chronic demyelinating disorder of the central nervous system affecting over 400,000 people in the US and 2 million individuals worldwide. MS often results in severe disability including the inability to walk, impaired vision or in some cases blindness, cognitive dysfunction, bladder and bowel problems, extreme fatigue and other serious symptoms. Unfortunately, no one knows what causes Multiple Sclerosis, there is no known cure for the disease, and treatments are modest at best.

Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit public charity. When you donate to the Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis (which is rated a four star charity by Charity Navigator) via this link: Donate Here your tax deductible donation (US tax payers only) will go directly to the Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis. Also if you enter “Logica” in the message/comment box after you’ve entered your credit card details, our team will receive recognition for your kind donation. Once a donation has been processed you will receive an email that serves as a receipt for your donation and may be used to apply for a charitable contribution tax deduction on your US federal income tax return.

Thank you so much for taking the time to consider Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis as your charity of choice and feel free to forward to anyone you think might like to know about this organization.

Let’s be a part of finding a cure for MS.
